Academia de Real Internacional are proud to announce a new International Collaboration with Australian National Premier League Side, Riverside Olympic Football Club, based in Tasmania, Australia.
ROFC, based in Launceston, Tasmania, are one of the most prestigious National Premier League Sides in their region. With more than fifty years of grassroots and semi-professional football developing local football talent and being a hub for budding young professionals in the region, Riverside Olympic is a staple point within the local community.
The collaboration between Academia de Real Internacional and Riverside Olympic will see the academy's first ever Player Identification Event take place in January 2023. With the objective to scout, recruit and connect our Academy Staff with local talent to potentially invite to our Academy for its inaugural 2023/24 season.
Over the course of three days each individual will have an insight into the Real Internacional Philosophy and Academy DNA. With Presentations, Academy Workshops, Training Sessions, Matches, Recovery Sessions there are a wide range of sporting activities that will be offered.
Our Academy Director, William Robinson said this about the collaboration; "It is a very exciting time for our academy, to be able to partner with a prestigious club such as ROFC, allows us to explore endless opportunities for local talent. Having seen in-depth the lack of opportunities and near in-existent pathways for local Tasmanian talent, it was a very clear decision that we had to start to bridge the gap between local and professional football. It is clear that our goal is to provide a realistic, professional experience to each individual and alumni and with this event we aim to do so."
